After two months of, really, taking a Chinese course in China, some Chinese people think I have lived in China for years or studied some before. Truth is these are first two months of my Chinese-learning life. Here are some tips for 外国人 who wants to speak Chinese like a native. First, Chinese is a tonal language. That means if you pronounce the tones incorrectly, your listeners may not understand you. And so, second, don't try to speak too fast. I have noticed that Chinese people don't speak that fast, but the way they pronounce the tones are clearcut, thus they sound like in a hurry. So my tips for basic Chinese are that you should be careful when pronouncing the tones, and speak slowly. By speaking slowly, but tonally correct, it won't make you sound stupid. It also makes you look calm and classy. 💃🏻 And oh, practice makes perfect. Try to related the language to your interests. It will help you improve fast.💦🍌👄
